Engagement ceremony turns into fight scene

The engagement ceremony of one member of the Rahal family in the town of Daraya “did not go so well”.

While the family was gathered to celebrate the engagement on Sunday evening, a fight erupted between family members. The fight developed and involved beating with sticks, leading to a number of injuries.

The story does not end here as the next morning, Mohammad al-Hajj Hamid Rahal fired at Jihad Rahal, both of his sons Zafer and Tarek, and his nephew Ghaleb Rahal as they were walking on the Darayya Shahim highway, hitting them in the legs.

The injured suffered from minor and severe wounds and were rushed to the Central hospital in Mazboud and to Othman Hospital for treatment.

The Lebanese Armed Forces rushed to the scene and set up fixed and mobile checkpoints before raiding a number of houses.
