Two people missing after training plane crashes off Halat coast-[REPORT]
Minister of Interior Bassam Mawlawi followed on Wednesday on the training plane belonging to the Lebanese Aviation Club that crashed in the sea, off the coast of Halat.
 
Mawlawi gave his directives to the Civil Defense to intensify search and rescue operations at the location of the incident.
 
He also instructed the Internal Security Forces to partake in the operations. 
 
Prime Minister Najib Mikati also contacted the army leadership and asked to send a helicopter to assist in the search. He also requested the mobilization of the naval forces in the search and rescue mission.
 
In addition, the Army Command issued a statement on the matter, in which it reported that the plane had crashed at 10:40 AM, noting that the naval and air forces units, with the participation of marine rescue teams in the Civil Defense, immediately began their operations in search of missing persons.
