Abou Charaf from Bkerke: Health sector is on verge of collapse

The Head of the Syndicate of Physicians in Lebanon Charaf Abou Charaf said on Friday during a visit to Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai in Bkerke, that "the health sector is on the verge of collapse if it does not receive the financial, social, and security support of the concerned authorities quickly."

 

"Find a quick solution to this dilemma by allocating the necessary budget to provide medicines and medical supplies, pay health workers' fees, facilitate their banking transactions, and provide security protection for them, so that we can put an end to the extensive immigration of doctors, and nurses," Abou Charaf said in a statement.

 

"The solution is to prioritize health issues in order to sustain this industry so that it may continue to work and stay in the country," he added.
