Plumbly expresses concern over continuous violence in Tripoli
The United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon Derek Plumbly stressed Friday that the unanimous support granted for the cabinet proves the Lebanese people’s determination to maintain stability.

Following his meeting with PM Tammam Salam at the Grand Serail, Plumbly welcomed the priority undertaken by the cabinet to face all security challenges, expressing concern regarding the constant violence in Tripoli and the continuous violations to Lebanon’s sovereignty on the northeastern borders.

Plumbly noted that he discussed with Salam the measures to be taken in order to follow up on the conference held in Paris in an bid to receive support for the Lebanese Armed Forces.
