Sleiman confirms government’s productivity

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman said on Tuesday that the appointment of members of the Supreme Judicial Council proves the start of the “activation of the government”. During a meeting with Justice Minister Chakib Kortbawi and President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Acting Judge Said Mirza, alongside new judges in the Council, the President confirmed the continuous pursuit of judicial reforms to confirm the independence of the latter.

Before a delegation of Tripoli civil society bodies, Sleiman stressed that no interest of any party or individual works outside the framework of the state and its laws, pointing to the importance of dialogue among the Lebanese as the only way out of problems and crises
