Assir adamant about sit-in venue, Sidon’s sheikhs to stage counter-protest

Sheikh Ahmad Assir, Imam of the Bilal Bin Rabah Mosque in Sidon, confirmed on Tuesday that he will not change the venue of Sidon’s sit-in.

In a statement to LBCI, Assir warned of escalation in the event that his demands are not met.
In return, sources told LBCI that Sidon’s sheikhs will stage a counter-protest against Assir at 6:00 p.m., adding that they will stage their sit-in in a location facing that of Assir’s.
