Abiad launches campaign for vaccination against cholera
Caretaker Health Minister Firas Abiad launched on Saturday a vaccination campaign against cholera at Halba Hospital, during his tour in Akkar and North Governorates.

In a press conference, Abiad pointed out that “the purpose of the visit today is to reassure people,” explaining that it is part of the plan developed by the Ministry of Health in cooperation with its partners from the World Health Organization, UNICEF and the High Commissioner for Refugees.

“We toured the departments that were newly prepared, to be within the specifications of cholera treatment, whether in terms of treatment and isolation, or proper sanitation, and we also checked on the new departments that are fully prepared in case of any increase in the numbers,” Abiad indicated.
