Lebanon's PM Nawaf Salam postpones UN, US trip to oversee security situation

Lebanon's Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said he has decided to postpone his planned trip to the United Nations and the United States to remain in Beirut and oversee government operations.

In a post on X, Salam said the decision was taken "to safeguard the security of the Lebanese people and preserve national unity" amid the current internal situation.
