Efforts ongoing to search for two Syrians targeted in Israeli strike near Chebaa: Sources told LBCI

Contacts were held overnight through the ceasefire mechanism to search for two Syrians who were targeted in an Israeli strike two days ago in the outskirts of Chebaa, sources told LBCI.

The strike reportedly hit an area along a road linking the outskirts of Chebaa to Syrian territory.

LBCI sources said two vehicles belonging to the Lebanese Red Cross, accompanied by the Lebanese Armed Forces, headed to the area, but the two men were not found.

The sources added that contacts are ongoing to organize a second search attempt after securing Israeli approval through the ceasefire mechanism committee.
