UN launches appeal to raise $294 million for Gaza, West Bank

The United Nations issued an urgent appeal on Thursday to raise $294 million to assist the people in both the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank.

The UN's Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) stated in a press release that this amount is intended to aid over 1.2 million individuals in Gaza and the West Bank.

It also warned that humanitarian organizations no longer have the necessary resources to adequately respond to the needs of vulnerable Palestinians.
