Russia announces support for Syrian leadership and condemns 'terrorist' attacks

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated on Wednesday that Moscow strongly supports the actions of the Syrian leadership in responding to attacks by what she described as 'terrorist groups.'

Zakharova noted that the recent advances made by Syrian opposition forces in the past few days would not have been possible without external support and incitement.

She added that the opposition forces had received drones and training from abroad.
