Loud explosions hit Iranian capital: AFP journalist

A series of loud explosions hit the Iranian capital on Thursday, shaking buildings and sending reverberations across the city, local media and an AFP journalist said.

It was not immediately clear what was targeted but the blasts were felt in central Tehran, while local media including the Shargh daily reported explosions in western and eastern parts of the city.
