REPORT: Roumieh inmates end protests

Around 200 Roumieh inmates ended their protest on Friday, after calling for allowing them to meet with Justice Minister Asharaf Rifi and the State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr.

They also threatened to escalate in case their demands were not met.

Accordingly, Judge Saqr tasked Judge Dani al-Zeini with meeting with the inmates and informing him of their demands.

Following the meeting, Judge al-Zeini promised to deploy efforts to improve their living conditions.
