REPORT: Clashes continue between regime forces and rebels in strategic town of Yabroud
Government troops along with members from Hezbollah are still battling rebel forces in Syria’s Yabroud.

The Syrian Observatory for Human rights stated that heavy shelling was witnessed in the regions of Dawar al-Salhiya, and mentioned that the town of Yabroud was also shelled with explosive barrels.

Syria's conflict started as largely peaceful protests against Assad in March 2011 but later degenerated into a civil war in which more than 140,000 people have been killed, according to activists.

Millions have been driven out of their homes, seeking shelter in neighboring countries and in safer parts of their homeland.
