At a time when media outlets in Lebanon are regulated by the Law of Publications of 1962 and the Audiovisual Media Law, passed in 1994, and when courts of publications are exerting pressures on journalists, the Maharat Foundation, in cooperation with former Minister Ghassan Moukheiber presented a draft law in 2010 to reinforce media freedom for all news outlets.
