REPORT: Syrian national arrested, confesses information about terror plans

A suspected militant has confessed to partaking in attacks and bombings in Lebanon and revealed vital information about terror plans and the activities of other jihadis, the Lebanese army said on Saturday.

The military issued a statement announcing that Syrian national Hasan Jamil Harba, who was apprehended in February “for belonging to terrorist groups and attacking Army posts,” was referred to the concerned judicial authorities on Saturday.

Harba also confessed that he was behind a failed attack on a person from the Fliti family using a booby trapped car inside Arsal, and revealed that he had killed several Syrian nationals on the persons that rig cars, and other security information related to the activities of terrorist groups,” the Army statement said.
