Rice prices at highest level in 15 years: FAO

In August, rice prices reached their highest levels in the world in 15 years, rising by 9.8 percent in a month. This increase follows export restrictions imposed by India, as announced by the United Nations' Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

Conversely, global food prices, as a whole, saw a slight decline last month, influenced by the decrease in grain, vegetable oil, and dairy product prices.
