The United States, Japan, and Australia will establish a joint air defense network, announced US President Joe Biden on Wednesday during a state visit by Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida to Washington, focusing on enhancing defense relations in the face of China.

Biden said in a joint press conference with Kishida, "For the first time, Japan and the United States and Australia will create a network of air missile and defense architecture."
