Canada, US 'strongest when we work together': Trudeau says

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday congratulated US President Donald Trump on his inauguration, saying the two nations were "strongest" working together.

"We are strongest when we work together, and I look forward to working with President Trump," Trudeau said in a statement, adding -- after Trump threatened to impose 25-percent tariffs on Canadian imports -- that "Canada and the United States have the world's most successful economic partnership."
