US says expects new Iran talks in 'near future'

The United States said Thursday it expected talks to take place soon with Iran, which earlier announced that a fourth meeting purported to take place this weekend had been postponed.

"We expect another round of talks that will take place in the near future," State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce told reporters, saying the weekend meeting had never been confirmed.
