Algeria prosecution seeks 10 years jail for writer Sansal on appeal

Algeria's prosecutor general sought a 10-year prison sentence for writer Boualem Sansal at an appeal hearing on Tuesday, an AFP journalist in the courtroom reported.

Sansal, a dual Algerian French national whose case has been at the heart of a diplomatic row between the two countries, was sentenced to five years imprisonment on March 27.
