Peace agreement in Ukraine 'will require' EU: Kallas

Any peace agreement in Ukraine 'will require' the European Union, the EU's chief diplomat, Kaja Kallas, told reporters Friday.

"We cannot say how and when Ukraine and Russia will strike a peace deal," she said following an informal meeting of foreign ministers from the Baltic Sea states. "Any agreement in order to be implemented will require the European Union to be part of it," she added.
