Israel claims strikes killed two Hezbollah members in Lebanon's south

The Israeli army said Monday it killed two Hezbollah members in separate strikes in southern Lebanon.

In a statement, Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee said one strike in the Nabatieh area targeted Mohammad Ali Hadid, a commander in Hezbollah’s Radwan Force, accused of orchestrating multiple plots against Israel and working to rebuild the group’s military infrastructure.

A second strike hit the area of Aita al-Shaab, killing another Hezbollah member who, according to the army, was gathering intelligence on Israeli forces stationed nearby.

The Israeli army said the actions of both men violated existing understandings between Israel and Lebanon, adding that it “will continue to act to remove any threat to the State of Israel.”
