Civil Aviation Authority to LBCI: Lebanon monitoring situation, airspace open amid regional tensions

The head of Lebanon’s Civil Aviation Authority said Saturday that no decision has been made to close Lebanese airspace following regional developments.

Captain Mohammed Aziz told LBCI that authorities remain in close contact to monitor the situation and assess any necessary measures.

“I am in constant communication with the minister of public works, airport security and air navigation authorities to follow developments and take the appropriate decisions in line with the situation,” Aziz said.
