President Aoun: Lebanon expresses full solidarity with Kuwait

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun discussed the latest developments in Lebanon, Kuwait and the region during a phone call on Sunday with Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Aoun expressed the solidarity of the Lebanese people with Kuwait during what he described as a sensitive period for the region.

He also thanked Kuwait — its emir, government and people — for the support it has provided and continues to provide to Lebanon and its people, wishing the country continued stability and security.

For his part, the emir of Kuwait thanked Aoun for his sentiments and reaffirmed Kuwait’s continued support for Lebanon and its people, particularly during the current delicate phase.

He also expressed support for the steps Lebanon is taking to achieve security and stability and restore sovereignty over all its territory.
