Three killed in helicopter crash in Algeria

Algerian state television said on Thursday that three military helicopter crew members were killed in a crash during a night training mission on Wednesday.

Quoting a statement from the Ministry of Defense, it said, "During a scheduled night training sortie, a military combat helicopter, belonging to the Air Force Command in the outskirts of El-Menia Airport in the fourth military region, crashed Wednesday night, resulting in the martyrdom of its crew of three."

It added that an investigation has been opened to determine the cause of the accident.
