US military to review options if tasked with escorting ships through Strait of Hormuz

U.S. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine said Tuesday that the military will review a range of options if it is tasked with escorting ships through the Strait of Hormuz.

Speaking to reporters, he said: “If we are tasked with escorting, we will look at a range of options to create the necessary military conditions to carry out that mission.”
