A meeting was held on Thursday between CEOs of Lebanese television channels and the Beirut Traders Association. During the meeting CEOs and officials discussed the concerns of TV stations in Lebanon as well as the problems they are facing.
CEOs also tackled the unified project they are currently working on in a bid to maintain the sustainability of their channels as well as the impact of media outlets on Lebanon’s trade and economy sectors.
On Wednesday (March 19), Lebanese Television stations board of directors held a meeting to discuss means of cooperation between TV networks, which may result in the establishment of a joint package that lays the foundations for mutual cooperation. The participants discussed the mechanism of a charter that defines the framework of said cooperation. The participants in the meeting agreed on the following: 1- To entrust lawyer Wassim Mansouri’s office with pursuing the protection of intellectual and literary property rights of the stations, and giving said office all powers necessary to pursue civil and penal proceedings upon need.
2- To hold meetings with concerned ministers.
3- To study the joint cooperation charter which lays the foundation for the aforementioned proceedings. 4- To keep their meetings open ended.
