The exportation of Lebanon’s waste has been proposed and is under discussions.
While it may seem that it is the easiest and most affordable option, the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal imposes many conditions on such a measure before any decision regarding the shipping of waste is made.
