United Nations expects 2023 to be the hottest year with record-breaking levels

The United Nations anticipates that the year 2023 will be the hottest on record, as it registers a series of record-breaking levels highlighting the urgent need to take action against climate disruptions. 

Petteri Taalas, Secretary-general of the World Meteorological Organization, stated, "Greenhouse gas levels are record high. Global temperatures are record high. Sea level rise is record high. Antarctic sea ice is record low."
