World Bank President: Israel-Hamas war threatens "serious" economic damage

World Bank President, Ajay Banga, issued a caution on Tuesday that the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas could deliver a "grave" blow to global economic development as the crisis enters its third week, raising concerns of a broader regional dispute.

Speaking at an investor conference in Saudi Arabia, Banga expressed his belief that the recent events in Israel and Gaza will have a more dangerous impact on economic development. He added, "I believe we are at a very critical juncture."
