Salameh says he handed audit of personal accounts to PM Mikati

Central Bank Governor Riyad Salameh said on Friday that he has handed an audit of his personal accounts to Prime Minister Najib Mikati, according to a tweet by the cabinet's official Twitter account.

“What I did was a personal initiative to be able to put before you scientific data that refute everything we hear or read, and rumors thrown here and there as part of a systematic and programmed campaign to undermine me and my dignity,” Salameh said to reporters.

He concluded by saying that he will submit the report in Lebanon and abroad where there are lawsuits against him.
