Military Investigative Judge issues arrest warrant against suspect Omar Al-Atrash

The state-run national News Agency reported on Tuesday that the Military Examining Judge Nabil Wehbe issued an arrest warrant against Omar al-Atrash for carrying out terrorist activities, as well as for his role in smuggling suicide bombers into Lebanon.

Al-Atrash was also charged with detonating bombs and attacking the Lebanese Armed Forces in the regions of Majdelyoun and al-Awwali bridge and launching rockets on Israel.

Al-Atrash was arrested last month, and admitted last week for having ties with the Abdullah Azzam Brigades, Jabhat al-Nusra and The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) members.
