Israeli army completes largest drill on Lebanese border since war began, claims Avichay Adraee

The Israeli army announced the completion of a five-day military drill led by the 91st Division along the Lebanese border, describing it as the largest exercise since the start of the war.

According to Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee, who posted a detailed statement on X, the drill aimed to enhance operational readiness for “extreme emergency scenarios” in defense and offensive operations across land, sea and air.

Adraee said the exercise sought to improve “rapid response capabilities to sudden events, including the mobilization of reserve forces, troop deployment and transition to offensive operations,” adding that it incorporated lessons learned from “two years of fighting across all fronts.”

He explained that the scenarios were “adapted to the operational situation following the fighting in south Lebanon, during which Hezbollah’s operational capabilities were damaged,” as he claimed.

The Israeli spokesperson added that the drill included “training on cooperation between forces assigned to defend the area, the air force and navy, along with defense units, local councils and parallel security forces.”

He also said that “logistical, medical, technological and maintenance units trained on scenarios of evacuating wounded under fire and providing logistical, maintenance and technical support in emergency situations.”

Adraee concluded his statement on X by saying: “The Israeli army will continue working to eliminate any threat against the State of Israel, while maintaining readiness, updating operational plans and preparing for a wide range of scenarios.”
