Lebanese army targets major drug traffickers in Baalbek

In a statement on Wednesday, the Lebanese army said an Intelligence Directorate patrol raided several homes belonging to two wanted individuals, identified by their initials (N.Z.) and (Z.Z.), in Baalbek. The two are among the most dangerous fugitives in the region.

During the raids, troops uncovered a concealed underground hideout used to store narcotics before their distribution across various areas. A large quantity of raw materials used in drug manufacturing, along with military ammunition, was seized.

Another patrol raided additional properties owned by the same suspects, where soldiers confiscated a large amount of cannabis and equipment used in its processing.

The seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities as investigations continue to arrest those involved.
