Justice Minister: Evacuation call near Baabda Palace of Justice was fake, investigations underway

Justice Minister Adel Nassar told LBCI that authorities have determined the phone call urging evacuation near the Baabda Palace of Justice was fake and aimed to reassure the public.

He added that investigations are ongoing to identify the source of the fraudulent calls.

The minister also confirmed that, in the event of an actual evacuation of the Palace of Justice, security agencies are prepared to implement existing plans to ensure the safety of detainees.
