Nabatieh Ambulance Service urges evacuation amid warnings

The Nabatieh Ambulance Service issued a statement warning of "serious and evolving security conditions," particularly following an alert affecting the lower Nabatieh El Tahta in South Lebanon.

The statement urged remaining residents in the city to evacuate their homes and move to safer locations "to preserve their safety and well-being."

The service stated that, out of humanitarian, religious, and moral responsibility, it was compelled to suspend field rescue operations in areas currently exposed to danger. It cited safety concerns under the prevailing conditions, as well as the risk that continued aid delivery in those areas could encourage residents to remain despite serious threats.

Despite the suspension, the Nabatieh Ambulance Service stressed that it will remain committed to assisting residents wherever they are and will continue its humanitarian and relief work in line with available conditions and resources. It added that it is continuously monitoring developments on the ground and will adjust its operations according to the evolving security situation.
