Israeli army claims it struck Hezbollah rocket unit's weapons caches in southern Lebanon

The Israeli army alleged Wednesday that it struck multiple weapons caches belonging to Hezbollah’s rocket unit in southern Lebanon.

The army claimed the caches were located in the midst of civilian areas, which it described as “another example of Hezbollah using civilians as human shields.”

According to the Israeli army, measures were taken before the strikes to minimize harm to civilians, including the use of precision munitions, prior warnings, aerial reconnaissance, and additional intelligence.

“The presence of these weapons caches violates understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” the military said in a statement by spokesperson Avichay Adraee. “The army will continue to act to remove any threat to the State of Israel.”
