Netanyahu: Israeli forces expanding “buffer zone” in southern Lebanon

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday that Israeli forces are expanding a “buffer zone” in southern Lebanon as the military campaign against Hezbollah continues.

In a recorded statement, Netanyahu said, “We have established a real security zone that prevents any infiltration toward the Galilee and the northern border,” adding, “We are expanding this zone to remove the threat of anti-tank missiles and to create a wider buffer area.”
