Israeli army issues evacuation warning to residents of 16 southern Lebanese towns, urges move toward Sidon district

Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee issued an urgent warning to residents in several towns and villages in southern Lebanon, calling on them to evacuate immediately.

In a post on X, Adraee said the warning applies to residents in the areas of Ghandouriyeh, Borj Qalaouiye, Qalaouiyeh, Souaneh, Jmaijmeh, Safad El Battikh, Baraachit, Chaqra, Aita al-Jabal, Tebnine, Al-Sultaniyeh, Bir El Sanasel, Dounine, Khirbet Selm,  Selaa, and Deir Kifa.

He claimed that alleged violations of the ceasefire agreement by Hezbollah were forcing the Israeli army to act “with force” against the group.

Adraee said the Israeli army ‘’does not intend to harm civilians, urging residents to leave their homes immediately and move toward the Sidon district for their safety.’’

He also warned that anyone near Hezbollah members, facilities, or military equipment would be putting their life at risk.
