Joseph Aoun discusses Lebanon developments and Washington meetings with UAE president

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun held a phone call on Saturday with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss the latest developments in Lebanon and the region in light of recent events.

During the call, Aoun expressed the solidarity of the Lebanese people with the people of the United Arab Emirates amid the sensitive circumstances facing the region.

President Aoun also briefed him on the latest developments regarding the Lebanese-American-Israeli meetings being held in Washington.

For his part, the UAE president thanked Aoun for his sentiments and reaffirmed the UAE’s continued support for Lebanon and its people, particularly during the current delicate phase. He also voiced support for the steps Lebanon is taking to achieve security and stability and restore sovereignty over all its territory.
