Zelensky slams sanctions relief for Russian oil as 'money for the war' on Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the easing of sanctions on Russian oil Sunday, after the United States extended a waiver meant to soften surging energy prices driven by the Middle East war.

"Every dollar paid for Russian oil is money for the war" on Ukraine, Zelensky posted on X, saying billions of dollars spent on crude from Russia were being "directly converted into new strikes" on Ukraine.
