Lebanon and France postpone Paris conference on support for Lebanese forces

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and French President Emmanuel Macron spoke by phone to discuss the latest developments affecting security across the region.

During the call, the two leaders agreed to postpone the international conference in support of the Lebanese Armed Forces and the Internal Security Forces, which had been scheduled for March 5 in Paris, to next April, citing unsuitable conditions to maintain the original date.

Aoun and Macron stressed that the seriousness of the current regional situation underscores the need to preserve Lebanon’s stability, support its legitimate institutions, and ensure the full restoration of its sovereignty.
