Lebanon’s Labor Minister to LBCI: Priority is ceasefire, supports negotiations under conditions

Lebanon’s Labor Minister Mohammad Haidar told LBCI that the Hezbollah-Amal duo’s main priority at this stage is to achieve a ceasefire, stressing that there is no opposition in principle to negotiations with Israel, but any talks must be based on full internal agreement and not conducted from a position of weakness.

Haidar said the cabinet decision is not about disarming Beirut but about restricting individual weapons across Lebanon, adding that he supports this measure because such weapons could threaten internal security.
