Lebanon’s Foreign Ministry condemns drone attack targeting UAE facilities

Lebanon’s Foreign Ministry strongly condemned what it described as a drone attack targeting vital facilities in the United Arab Emirates, which reportedly caused a fire outside the Barakah nuclear power plant in Al Dhafra region.

In a statement, the ministry said the incident marks a “highly dangerous escalation” that threatens the security of nuclear facilities as well as regional safety and stability.

The ministry added that the attack constitutes a serious escalation and a “blatant violation of international law,” describing it as an assault on a country known for its peaceful approach and constructive role in promoting regional stability and cooperation.

Lebanon’s Foreign Ministry also reaffirmed its full rejection of any attack targeting the UAE or undermining its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, expressing solidarity with the country and support for measures aimed at protecting its stability, citizens, and residents.
