Iran and UAE exchange accusations at BRICS FMs’ meeting

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi accused the United Arab Emirates of direct involvement in military operations against Iran during a BRICS foreign ministers’ meeting in New Delhi on Thursday, according to Iran’s semi-official Mehr news agency.

The agency quoted Araghchi as saying in response to comments by an Emirati representative: “I did not mention the UAE in my statement in the interest of unity. But the truth is that the UAE directly participated in the aggression against my country. When the attacks began, it did not even issue a condemnation.”
