Italy summons Iranian ambassador over use of force in protests

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said on Tuesday that he summoned the Iranian ambassador over the “completely unacceptable” crackdown by Iranian authorities on protests across the country.

Tajani told the Chamber of Deputies, “These days, men and women across Iran are fighting in the streets and squares, paying an extremely high price.”
