PM Nawaf Salam calls for unity, warns against escalation

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam on Saturday urged Lebanese citizens to exercise restraint and prioritize national interests amid escalating regional tensions.

In a post on X, Salam said that in light of the “dangerous developments” unfolding in the region, all Lebanese must act with wisdom and a sense of national responsibility, placing Lebanon’s interests above any other considerations.

He added that authorities would not accept any attempt to drag the country into actions that could threaten its security or unity.
