Trump says US will likely control Strait of Hormuz and charge fees

U.S. President Donald Trump said Monday that the United States will likely take control of the Strait of Hormuz and should be compensated for managing the strategic waterway.

Speaking by phone on Fox News' Fox & Friends, Trump said, "We'll control the strait, and we'll probably manage it. We'll become the protector of the strait — perhaps its guardian angel. And we should be compensated for that."
